ALP Cycles Leadville Trail 100 Pre-Ride Weekend
June 27-28, 2015
Join 2013 2nd place finisher (7:21hrs) Alison Powers and ALP Cycles Coaching for two days of focused riding and training on the Leadville 100 racecourse.
Saturday June 27, 2015 – “Middle Roads” and Columbine
We’ll start in Leadville and pre ride all of Pipeline to Twin Lakes Feed Zone and up to Columbine Mine- and back. Sag support, water, OSMO hydration, and ride food/snacks will be provided. Ride time – approximately 5-6 hours
Sunday June 28, 2015 – St. Kevin’s, Powerline and Sugarloaf Pass
Starting in Leadville at the official race start, we will pre ride the first two climbs of the race- St. Kevin’s and Sugarloaf Pass. After the descent of Powerline, we will turn around, ride back up Powerline, back to St. Kevin’s, and finish by riding the “surprise” 3 miles to the finish. Sag support, water, OSMO hydration, and ride food/snacks will be provided. Ride time – approximately 4-5 hours
This is the perfect prep camp for any rider looking to improve their Leadville 100 finishing success. We will dial in race strategy, lines and technical features, pacing, hydration and nutrition, and training. After this weekend, you have 6 weeks until race day.
Weekend Camp Cost -$150 for ALP athletes, $250 for non-ALP athletes.
We will provide- Two qualified coaches (Alison Powers and Jennifer Sharp), Sag support, water, OSMO Hydration, ride food and snacks.
Athletes are responsible for their own housing, meals and transportation.
